He moved to the United States in 2008 to play Collegiate soccer at Prairie State College and Illinois Institute of Technology.

His favorite soccer memories are the very first time he played as a professional player with União in Brazil and also the first time he played professionally against Santos FC at the iconic Vila Belmiro Stadium.

Gui favorite part of coaching is sharing the love and passion he has for the game while inspiring players to be the best version of themselves. Nunes points to DOC Zego as his biggest inspiration to become a coach. Gui has US Soccer C License, CBF and Federação Paulista de Futsal (Futsal Coaching License from Brazil).

Gui also has a Master in Sports Management from Rosevelt University & Master in Public Administration B.S. at IIT.

Geraldo grew up in Goiania, Goias - Brazil and played for many youth and professional clubs all over the world. From Goias Esporte Clube, Gremio E. M., Creti Minacu, Trindade in Brazil to S.L. Benfica B, G.D.R Monsanto (Portugal), and Caldes de Montbui in Spain.

Preto has many favorite soccer memories which you should ask him about sometime, but one of his best memories is of playing the beautiful game as a young boy in Brazil. “I loved playing soccer on the streets, without shoes on the asphalt with my friends. We played with a heavy ball we called “capotão” made by real leather and we used big rocks to make the goals. A team with shirt and another one shirtless, just playing for fun for hours and hours until it would get dark.”

Pepe Guardiola inspired him to become a coach, but Zego is the one who really made him fall in love with coaching. Preto’s favorite part of coaching is seeing the "kids" grow as soccer players and into young adults. He believes the lessons you learn by playing soccer prepare you for life, as soccer helps players learn how to win and to lose as well. Geraldo has U.S. Soccer B License, Premier and Advanced National Diploma (NSCAA), Technical Director B License (Conmebol), License A and Futsal License (Brazil).

Preto also has a Law degree and a Strategic Sports Management from Salgado de Oliveira University (Brazil).

His favorite player is Zico and favorite team is Clube R. Flamengo.

Coach Preto loves spending time with his wife and kids, and enjoy some Footvolley and brazilian barbecue with his friends.
