In 1981, Zego invented the 4-0 futsal system that changed how the game is played, and he has spent more than 40 years coaching at the highest level — including clubs like Benfica and Jaén FS. As a player he won three South American championships and represented the Brazil National Team from 1974 to 1979, and he later mentored the greatest futsal player of all time, Ricardinho.
